My passion of late has been learning to do what it takes to make my family truly healthy and a lot of my research has been spilling over into my posts. In fact, hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours this past year has been spent on this topic and I still have so much I want to share!
But, as with any research, it can be discouraging to find out that there is so much we don’t know and so many different people telling us how to do it.
So I would like to SHARE my “secret” with you…(it’s actually not a secret because I’ve already mentioned it in every “health” post I’ve written so far)…but today I’m going to give you the detailed scoop on Traditional Cooking School AND offer a Pursuit of Homemaking exclusive DISCOUNT!!
What is Traditional Cooking?
Traditional cooking is basically using time-tested ways of cooking food in ways that are both beneficial to your body and are as natural as they can be. The best place to start is to take of glance at my previous post on gut health.
Once we realize that our gut houses 80% of our immune system, it is easy to figure out that making sure our gut is healthy should be a high priority.
Toxins = destroys gut
Probiotics/beneficial bacteria/organic nutrition = heals gut
But then begins the real research…what is my family doing that is introducing toxins into our bodies and what can we do to start healing our guts???
Enter Traditional Cooking School!
As Wardee (TCS owner) so eloquently said…
If you want to eliminate toxins and start healing your gut, you need to eat GNOWFGLINS!
G.N.O.W.F.G.L.I.N.S. – God’s Natural Organic Whole Foods Grown Locally IN Season
So basically, eating food the way God made and preparing it the way He designed.
I am finding, in several areas of my home, that it is just better to go back to the way things used to be done (with the addition of electricity and plumbing) and that same concept applies to cooking. God knew how to create food that would nourish our bodies, but we rarely eat them in that form or at that quality anymore.
Now don’t get me wrong, there are LOTS of places to get good information on all of the different aspects of traditional cooking but when you realize how many new concepts you will have to learn and how many toxin-filled products you have in your kitchen that need to be replaced…it is so nice to have all that information in one reliable spot!
One of my favorite things about Traditional Cooking School is that it was started by a mom (just like me!) who had a son with severe eczema (just like me!) and simply wanted to find out how to make her child healthy (just like me!).
These lessons are just so relatable because it isn’t a professor in front of a class but a mom in her kitchen sharing what she has learned. Check out this welcome page to see what I mean.
Each course is broken down into several lessons that are video based with a downloadable printed version.
There are currently 14 courses (they have added two since I joined a year ago) covering everything you need – fundamentals, sourdough, fermenting, dehydrating, kitchen tools, women’s health, teaching children to cook traditionally, and SOOOOO much more!
With a membership you also get access to a private FB page so you can ask any questions you want and get answered by Wardee, the other teachers, and other experienced students. When beginning this journey I found that to be invaluable!
Because of this course I have gained the knowledge to not only know how to feed my family in a healthy way but also how to find the best ways to help it fit into our budget. All the wife/moms that teach this program are stay-at-home, on a tight budget moms just like us and have had to find creative ways to make an organic, traditional food lifestyle fit into their normal paycheck.
I will be covering the individual changes and tips that we have learned in future posts but I will never be a replacement to this amazing program!
So I contacted Traditional Cooking School and asked for a discount to help you start off so that you can change your family’s gut too.
First off, if you follow this link you can get access to free videos that will help you get an idea of what the course is like (this is not exclusive to this blog).
