Zones – Living Room/Hallway

Obviously, some of your specifics will differ but this shows you the basic setup.  Notice that I’ve learned to clear my space and then work from the top down so that I am not only most efficient but also leave my room as clean as possible!
If I am unable to finish a zone in one day I put the specific cleaning supplies that I need for that room in the basket I used in the first step, put it in a safe spot in the room, and pick up where I left off the next day.

Living Room/Hallway

Gather items needed: broom, mop, basket, microfiber clothes, all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, window cleaner, wood polish.

___ Put anything that doesn’t belong in the room in a basket and place right outside the doorway (put away at end of cleaning)

___ Make high duster with clothe and broom handle; dust high areas

___ Clean light fixtures

___ Clean window inside and out, dust blinds

___ Spot clean walls

___ Polish wood (if needed)

___ Dust/clean picture frames/glass

___ Dust/clean all horizontal surfaces and nick-nacks

___ Dust/clean nick-nack cabinet (if needed)

___ Organize drawers/coat closet

___ Clean points of contact then spray with disinfectant

___ Wipe down baseboards (moving furniture)

___ Vacuum furniture

___ Vacuum carpet

___ Sweep floor with dust mop

___ Mop floor/spot check

___ Replace deodorizer contents
